Intensives

Workshops

Concentrated programmes taught online, or hosted in person at your studio, school or centre. Each can be shortened, extended or adapted for the group in front of it.

उपासना

Upāsanā Chanting Workshop · Levels 1 and 2

Level 1 · 22 hours | Level 2 · 24 hours

The complete chanting programme taught intensively — Sanskrit phonetics, the six rules of the Taittirīya Upaniṣad, the faults and virtues of a reciter, and in Level 2 the Vedic accents and the pāṭha system. Every chant is given in Devanāgarī, in transliteration and with its meaning.

Suited to: Yoga teachers, chanting students, teacher-training groups, temples and study circles.

संस्कृतम्

Sanskrit for Yoga Practitioners and Teachers

20 hours · over a weekend series or five weeks

A self-contained introduction built entirely around the vocabulary a yoga teacher actually uses — āsana names, the limbs of aṣṭāṅga, the vocabulary of the Yoga Sūtras and the Gītā. Script, pronunciation, grammar and reading, with worksheets throughout.

Suited to: Yoga schools, TTC programmes, studios and independent practitioners.

नादयोगः

Nāda Yoga Immersion

One day · or a residential weekend

Sound as a path to inner awareness — nāda and śabda, mantra, breath, listening as a discipline, and contemplative sound practice. No musical training is required, and none is assumed.

Suited to: Retreat centres, meditation groups, yoga studios, wellness programmes.

कीर्तनम्

Keerthan Session

Half day · or an evening

Devotional singing together — traditional kīrtana with correct Sanskrit pronunciation, the meaning of what is sung, and simple rāga and tāla for group singing. Everybody sings; nobody performs.

Suited to: Communities, studios, festivals and gatherings of any size.

भगवद्गीता

Bhagavad Gītā Intensive

Two days · or a six-session series

Selected verses from all eighteen chapters, chanted and construed — Karma, Jñāna, Bhakti and Dhyāna Yoga, the sthitaprajña, and the Gītā read as a practical philosophy rather than a devotional object.

Suited to: Philosophy circles, yoga teacher trainings, corporate and educational settings.

सङ्गीतम्

Voice Culture for Chanters and Singers

One day

Practical voice culturing drawn from traditional sādhakam and modern voice science — breath, śruti awareness, steadiness, range, agility and vocal health, with a graded set of exercises to take home.

Suited to: Singers, chanting teachers, yoga teachers who chant daily, anyone who uses the voice at length.
